The poor in spirit and the persecuted for righteousness are the legitimate and authorized inheritors of the kingdom of God, same as the kingdom of heaven.
The kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are the same.
“Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (II Thessalonians 2:4 KJV)
The great lie of the Bible is idolatry, substituting an image of God for God Himself. “My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me and they have hewn out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold not water.” (Jeremiah 2:13)
Major broken cisterns of our time and of the SBC is Scofield and his teachings.
Does it not seem strange and startling to you that the very gist of Jesus above, to make clear the nature of the sameness of the kingdom of God and of heaven is what is constantly and subtly, like Satan Himself and the Man of Sin, under attack? They distract you with movies and words of theology and philosophy not even found once in the Bible Itself, but introduced for the first time in 1909 in the SRB, the words like rapture, dispensationalism, and millennium. Yet we dare not spend our time proclaiming their falsehoods and make those like Dr. Jeffress of the FBC Dallas more famous than they are, but rather preach, and teach, and proclaim, and talk and discuss: (1) the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are the same; and (2) The poor in spirit and the persecuted for righteousness are the legitimate and authorized inheritors of the kingdom of God, of heaven. Only then, in the words of II Timothy about those “sorts” of persons believing in a secret, extra rapture will have “their follies revealed”, and “go no further”.
Jesus came preaching the “gospel of the kingdom” and “the poor have the gospel preached to them”, so that is naturally the subject he started the Sermon on the Mount with, sometimes called the beatitudes which is like most theology diverts from the mean, which is literally THOSE THAT ARE BLESSED BY GOD. His first words were “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs in the kingdom of heaven.” Therefore it behooves us to know and to spread exactly what Jesus mean in those 13 words without any distortion, inaccuracies, and without any taking a text and going everywhere preaching, or any axe to grind. This is far more simple and serious business for the Scofield mites labor hard and long and persistently, like Satan himself, to distort the meaning of the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God, saying they are two different things. Thus they pervert the Gospel itself as Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and as Christians in the defense of the faith once for all delivered to the saints, especially by Jesus Who started and finished it, we must contend, contend, contend for the faith.
- Teachings of Jesus in Matthew 12:24-28.
“And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.” (Matthew 12:25-28)
What were these Pharisees, the religious leaders and theologians of the day, thinking that Jesus recognized, for it behooves us to recognize the same among our religious leaders of the SBC today in order to understand what divided its house, subdues its world wide evangelism, and brought it down from the largest Protestant evangelistic organization in the world, not to mention the prime sin of perverted the gospel of the kingdom preached by Jesus which furthers the work of Satan. Oh yes, Jesus knew what they were thinking just like we know what the religious leaders today of the Pre-Trib Scofield mites are thinking. THEY WANTED AND WANT TO RESTORE THE KINGDOM OF DAVID TO ISRAEL BEFORE IT WAS DIVIDED INTO THE KINGDOM OF JUDAH AND ISRAEL, to have the same land space, the same power and glory in the nations of the world as when David and his son Solomon ruled the known world.
Do you think that is materialistic then and today? Yes, it certainly is; so the Scofield mites favor the rich rather than the poor, minimize and ignore Jesus on the gospel of the poor and poor in spirit because with worldly power and glory there Is no place for poor, meek, and persecution.
The question is simple, Did Jesus teach that the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are the same kingdom, not separate kingdoms as Scofield, the man of sin, taught; the man that stood in the temple starting in 1909 and continuing today opposing himself against all that is the teachings of Jesus and against God Himself who has a plan for ONE KINGDOM, the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ established by Jesus Himself, in the hearts of men, and will at the second coming of Christ be established on the new earth and the kingdom to rule. Before when I was sort of a simpleton on Scofieldism because the Scofield Reference Bible carried throughout 4 years in Naval Aviation was actively ignored on the Notes, but it was puzzling as preaching on the text below why it was observed that many in Pre dominated churches winched and looked irritated. After all, it was a direct quote from I Corinthians 15:24-28—
- Teachings of Jesus by way of the Apostle Paul and the OT in I Corinthians 15:24-25.
“Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.” (I Corinthians 15:24-28)
Once again like Jesus taught the children of the world are wiser than the children of light; these Scofield mites knew they were under attack and were scrambling for the bushes. What in the world, long since those days, it was puzzling to consider their fears of hearing these straight words of God. The reason is that the verses are on the subject of THE KINGDOM OF GOD THE FATHER, and what follows does not fit into their theology: (1) the end; (2) Jesus delivers the kingdom to God the Father; (3) Jesus puts an end to all other rule and authority on earth; (4) Jesus must reign now over earth until the time that He puts every single enemy under His feet including death and Satan; (5) nothing new on the kingdom from the OT because it is quoted in the repeated words of “all things under his Him”; and with in the nature of the Bible as apostles explain what it means of what the Prophets said, that God the Father is the single exception to being under the feet of Christ; (6) however at that very point when Christ comes again in great power and glory with the only Second Coming of Christ, with all things made subject to then Christ, the Son of God will Himself be made subject to God the father, after all it was God the Father in the first place that put all things under the rule of Christ by way of the kingdom of God; and (7) ‘THAT GOD THE FATHER MAY BE ALL IN ALL”.
If fully comprehended these verses alone on the kingdom of God would obliterate so many “isms that ought to be wasms” to use the words of Dr. R. G. Lee: the first casualty would be Scofield mites, then the Messianic Judaizers, and the Yahweh and other movements that want you to learn Hebrews and the rituals of the civil regulations in the OT; the Jehovah witnesses would collapse in their false concepts of the kingdom, and so on and on. The most famous, are infamous, are those under the Man of Sin, Scofield Himself.
- Acts 1:6 begs to be presented as an indication of the state of mind of the first disciples about the kingdom, having grown up under the teachings of the religious leaders of Israel, yea the citizenship of Israel, for a RESTORATION OF THE KINGDOM TO ISRAEL.
“Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority”. (Acts 1:6,7)
Even now, to this very day the Scofield mites strive to go beyond and outside the authority of God the Father by oft declaring in false thoughts with false not in the Bible words of rapture, dispensationalism, and millenniums the “times and seasons”. Elaborate, and you know are the schemes of their false timelines and charts especially on the book of Revelation. Since Jesus, no doubt, made a mental note that the time of this question by the disciples of restoration of the kingdom of Israel, choosing to answer it (1) first with the calling of a Bible scholar like the Paul to be an apostle which He did personally on the road to Damascus; and (2) appearing personally to the Apostle John on Patmos to give him the revelations of the book of Revelation.
NOTE: “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6) So effectively in the 14 letters of Paul with so many OT quotes, and in the book of Revelation that this question was almost completely answered that the attacks of Satan and the Man of Sin are primarily on the eschatology teachings of Paul, of Jesus, and of the book of Revelation. Our counter is to preach and teach the real Ones. That Scofield has been made an idol like the Man of Sin, the son of perdition, is readily testified to with Lifeway’s promoting and selling a SRB with the image of Scofield on the cover. Only the exact time was not given as Jesus does not know, and the Father reserves that for Himself to know; yet you notice the mites of this man of sin seek to do that also.
