- The Rise of the Sect of the Pharisee Believers: Gospel of the Pharisees, First Century and Now
- Political, Social, and Religious Movements of the Great Apostasy,
“Will you at this Time Restore the Kingdom to Israel?”
The three great political and socio-religious movements that caused the demise of the SBC and impetus to the Great Apostasy of the Falling Away, and having foundations in the Pharisees and “That Sort” of I and II Timothy were and are: (1) The 10 year plan for Takeover of the SBC of the Conservative Resurgence, (2) Scofield theology of rapture, millennium, and dispensationalism, and (3) the Messianic Judaism, now and of the first century sect of the Pharisee believers of Acts 15. All three have their roots in the efforts of Pharisees to restore the kingdom to Israel. Adherents of all three movements have specialized in cover-ups, striving to hide among respectable denominations.
According to the Jewish historian Josephus, three main Jewish groups existed at the time of Christ—the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the Essenes. He also mentions a fourth group called the Zealots who were founded by Judas of Galilee and Zadok the Pharisee. Josephus notes that the Zealots “agree in all other things with the Pharisaic notions; but they have an inviolable attachment to liberty, and say that God is to be their only Ruler and Lord” (Antiquities 18.1.6).
