PTB2-29: The Everlasting Covenant for the Everlasting Gospel in Revelation.

A Reminder of the Gospel Preached to Abraham–

“And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.  And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”  (Genesis 17:6-8)

In spite of the confusions and half-truth* constantly created by Dallas Theological Seminary in its devotion to Scofield, what does the Scripture tell us:

1. Nations and Kings have come as a family tree out of Abraham, exceedingly and prolific.

2.  God the great Creator and Ordainer of the Future establishes a covenant, an everlasting covenant between Himself with the benefactors of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel) and all their seed after them, including THE SEED which is Christ, and which God grafted in we Gentiles (the book of Romans).

3.  There will be generations of them as recipients of this everlasting covenant right up until the Second Coming of Christ, when He will raise in one body all believers, Jews and Gentiles—that MANY GENERATIONS!

4.  This covenant is to be OUR GOD, Our Father which art in heaven.

5.  Also part of the covenant is the everlasting promise of the land as an inheritance to the total body of Christ, recalling from Romans that “not all spiritual Israel is of the physical nation of Israel” so we Gentiles are grafted into these promises and this covenant.

6.  Clearly the land of Zion becomes the everlasting kingdom as like John saw in a vision, the New Jerusalem was lowered from heaven, likewise there will be a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells and the lamb with lie down with the lion as believers in the kingdom eternally build their eternal houses and grow their eternal Eden like Gardens, all never ever to be taken away from them!

7.  The everlasting kingdom is an eternal possession, living with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, and all the saved nations.

Hallelujah, I ask you is that enough!

*NOTE:  There is a long history of half-truth going all the way back to the efforts of Satan by quoting scripture to divert the goal of Jesus to establish the everlasting kingdom on earth and to do His ministry of “Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom”  (Matthew 4:23; Mark 1:14)

Many know about the half-truths of Scofield mites and DTS, of the Mormons with 4 Bible, and of Masons, but here is an example from the Church of God, bless their hearts, that show so many good sounds of truth in Bible doctrine, and then suddenly go haywire.

The Church of God continues to preach the gospel of the Kingdom

Jesus’ disciples continued to preach this good news after His death and resurrection. After He was raised from the dead, He taught them for 40 days “things pertaining to the kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3), and when He ascended to heaven in the clouds, two angels reminded them He would return in like manner (Acts 1:9-11; see also Matthew 24:30 and Zechariah 14:4).

Throughout the New Testament history given in the book of Acts, the Church taught the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

The book concludes: “Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him” (Acts 28:30-31).

Jesus commissioned His followers to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). He prophesied that just before His second coming, “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).

All that is so good and needs to be heard by all the world, and it comes from online at:

Gospel of the Kingdom – Life, Hope & Truth (

A free pamphlet can be downloaded, being so far above and beyond the unsound doctrines of the Scofield mites on the kingdom, it needs to be read with some major examples.  Two exception that will be mentioned now is on the matter of life after death, quoted and the kingdom of Christ not being on earth now.  The later first because kingdom—where, how, when, and so on in the Bible—is the subject of this book.  You read some of their real truth above, now some falsehood that makes the article fit into the category of half-truth that can sneak up on us so easily and quickly, often not even perceived as half-truth.

“Seeking the Kingdom Even though the Kingdom of God is not yet here on earth and we cannot enter it until Christ returns, our thinking and our lives must be focused on this prophesied event. In this sense, the Kingdom of God should be in our hearts or minds because we are continually thinking about it. But as we’ve already seen, the Kingdom is much more. It is also a Kingdom that will come to earth and replace all human governments.”

Even the second part is truth, IT IS ALSO A KINGDOM THAT WILL COME TO THE NEW EARTH AND REPLACE ALL HUMAN GOVERNMENTS! However this part–“Seeking the Kingdom Even though the Kingdom of God is not yet here on earth and we cannot enter it until Christ returns–is incomplete, deceptive as compared to the many teaching parables on Jesus on the kingdom, so therefore failing on the truth test, it is a false statement. The kingdom is here on earth unseen but controlling the lives of many believers, and in fact right now during the virus pandemic, the beginning of approximately 3 and one-half years of tribulation while Satan is loosed, those In Christ, have a seal on their head for protection not to be hurt by the virus. It is brutal to state, and since you have heard that 4 times more blacks and mexicans are affected by the virus than whites, it points out for those who have eyes to see, the distinction between those who have the seal and those who do not, having nothing to do with skin color or discrimination except by God Himself as He begins the process of weeding out the goats from the sheep, the chaff from the wheat, and starting to cleanse and crystallizing his kingdom from the tares. After all that is the purpose of tribulation, to discriminate the sheep from the goats, and make a last 4 year ditch effort to get many more people to repent and believe.

And the former falsehood is their statement right in the middle of so much good truth that the soul of the believer does not immediately go to heaven when they die:

“Contrary to what many believe, humans do not enter the Kingdom prior to Christ’s return. This means that good people do not go to heaven when they die. The Bible teaches that when people die, their bodies return to the earth and their thoughts cease (Ecclesiastes 9:5; Psalm 146:4, King James Version). Their conscious existence has come to an end. Those who died faithful to God are “asleep” in their graves, awaiting Christ’s return when they will be resurrected—brought back to life (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Job 14:10-15).”

A falsehood we know because when Lazarus died, the angels carried him immediately into Abrahams bosom, and all well know that Abraham is in heaven and so is his bosom.  We will not dwell on this falsehood since the kingdom is our major interest now, and the introduction about it in terms of all the half-truth and half-truths.

NOTE:  However it must parenthetically be stated now for the sake of clarity that at death the body does sleep as Jesus made clear, but the soul goes immediately to heaven to be with Abraham, God, and Jesus.

“To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham…”  (Luke 1:72,73)

Monday heard the church service of FBC of Waco with the preaching of Dr. Todd Stills, Dean of Truett Seminary at Baylor.  Let me be kind by saying in spite of the fact he is ordained and preaches in churches all over, he is not among the great preachers than preached there like Carroll and Truett, and about the only part of the message memorable was the great SIGH he gave and talked about as his wife, saying Amen to the SIGH, and himself considered the evil and startling events of these times like the killing of so many at the Synagogue in Philly.

The great mistake Theologians like Dr. Todd Stills, even with all the hard studies and degrees, make is they insist on treating of the Bible books as an independent study, this ignores the work of the Holy Spirit through Prophets, Apostles, and Jesus to make it a whole.  They ignore what is perhaps the single most self-interpretative rule that the Bible Itself lays down, that is compare Scripture with Scripture for proper understand since God the Holy Spirit is within Himself a Consistency.  And in context, the largest context beyond chapters and books, is the total Bible.

Our sympathies go out in him and all you have the gullible courage to delve deeply into theology, thinking that they of all people can remain unspotted and holy in pursuit of the Word from God.  Stills favorite description of his own, that of Baylor, and that of the Truett Seminary is “under the Bible”; and oh my, he must be sincere only failed to see when and if during theology studies at Baylor, Southwestern, overseas, and numerous other schools, which would have been admirable he could have overcome, as few if any can, Theologies habit of making all captive to the wisdom and foolishness of other scholars rather than like Martin Luther staying captive to the Word of God.

Personally are well known at least three brilliant students and academic scholars out of Galena Park High and FBC Galena Park that succumbed after many years of education and doctorates in theology to the perverted wisdom of men and theology.  It changed their lives, once our heroes, making them to come by habit into the folly of II Timothy 4:3,4 of “they will not endure sound doctrine”…  Goodness, they could not endure sound doctrine under the onslaught of a doctors degree in theology, and that of having to give the approvers of a dissertation, or grades in questionable classes by Muslims and others, what they wanted to get the Palov award of a high degree.  As Southern Baptist, we just are not treating our young Christian men and students of the ministry fair.  Theology must be wiped out in our schools.  And don’t give this malarky that B. H. Carroll was a theologian, for he started SWBTS with teaching through the English Bible, you have the 17 volumes today, called “An Interpretation of the English Bible.”

2.  God Himself Preached the Gospel to Abraham.

Before we get into he major task of this book, to go through the 1 One Book Bible Commentary from Sungrist, noting all the several thousand references to “everlasting” in that complete Bible study of all the Bible…that is, before that in this chapter we should make it evident that God did preach the Gospel to Abraham.  Hopefully even we might be able to rescue from perishing one of the Scofield mites of DTS, since their concept of the Gospel is so haywire that they have the audacity to claim that Jesus made a mistake, can you imagine that to have the nerve and get away with it (they do not mention this weakness in their theology very often, sometimes as the case of Dr. Jeffries of FBC Dallas, never as he know that would make him look bad, and could be accused, which is truly the case, of “preaching another gospel of a different kind, which is not a gospel of the same kind”.

Sorry, getting as bad as Paul to write single paragraph sentences.  What the DTS graduates do, and a lot of them are famous, is say when you read “Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom.” That was a mistake.  Since the Pharisees, and in turn the majority in the nation, did not accept a kind of kingdom Jesus preached, a kingdom other than a materialistic one where Israel again ruled the nations, then Jesus made a mistake.  Scofield and DTS have been in cahoots striving with new study Bibles, preaching in large pulpits and getting wealthy, to correct the mistake about the kingdom that Jesus made.

And the easiest and most thorough way is just here to repeat from the SunGrist book on the life and letters of Paul, the chapter on the book of Galatians, which I like to call “One Baptism in Galatians” or the Gospel of One Baptism.  (Plug, plug, plug, that is another book in the Gospel Tract series like this number 9.  The complete series of 10, all on amazon except this number 9 we are working our way through.
